Praise the Lord

Last night, we had an amazing meeting.  God showed up, and blessed us with His presence.

I would like to thank the Lord for an amazing meeting.  Two people got saved.  I am so glad that God still uses sinful men to bring the lost to Him.

I would like to thank the men of Foremen Memorial Baptist Church, Redd’s Branch Baptist Church, and Believer’s Worship Center for the work of preparing and cooking the food, serving the food, and cleaning up the place.  The Lord has blessed your work.

I would like to thank Millbrook Baptist Church and Pastor Eddie Leopard for the use of their facility.

Thank you, Bob Tebow, for a word from the Lord.  Your message did not fall on deaf ears.

And last but not least, I would like to thank the men of the Aiken Baptist Association.  If it wasn’t for you, we could not have these meetings.  Thank you for your participation.

Men, I hope that you don’t forget what was said.  Love the Lord, love His Word, love people, and work for eternal rewards.  Be a Godly leader that God, your wife, your kids, and your church can be proud of.

Our next meeting is fast approaching. It is going to be at Woodridge Baptist Church, at 7:00 pm. The menu is ribs, and the speaker is evangelist Randy Lamb. Randy is a friend from south GA, who is being used by the Lord to make a difference in the lives of young people. You won’t want to miss this event. Our goal is 300, so bring a friend.

2009 Schedule Completed

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have confirmed our speakers for the rest of the year.  The schedule is as follows:

For our meeting at Woodridge Baptist Church, the speaker will be evangelist Randy Lamb, of Brunswick, GA.  Randy is a friend of mine that does a lot of ministry with youth, law enforcement, and is a chaplain with one of the best small high school football teams in Georgia.  The food for this meeting will be Ken Wellmaker’s bar b q ribs.  Ken is the man who did the ribs last year that everyone raved about.

For our meeting at Foreman Memorial Baptist Church on August 11, (we may have to change the venue for this meeting, because I am hoping for a very large turnout), our speaker will be Bob Tebow.  Yeah, you guessed it, Tim Tebow’s dad.  This will be a great opportunity for you to bring friends that are not saved.  We are planning a fish fry for this event.

For our meeting at Lighthouse Baptist Church on November 17, our speaker will be pastor Rudy Gray.  Bro. Gray is currently serving as our SC state convention president.  He has a passion for strengthening the home, so I asked him to come and challenge us in that area.  Menu to be announced.

I am so pleased with the success of this ministry.  I hope that it continues to grow, and that we can make a difference in our community.

Great Job, Shiloh Baptist Church Men

Pastor Taylor Wells and the men of Shiloh Baptist Church,

Thank you for the fish fry, use of your facility, and the Christian hospitality.  We are rejoicing over the great night.  The food was good, and the message from Bobby Jackson was what we needed to hear.  I definitely do not ever want to be like the man who left with the new bass boat.  I hope that we can all have compassion for those that need to be saved.

We had approximately 240 men there last night.  I am so excited by the men of our association that came out for the meeting.  Thanks men for your participation.  I hope that we can build this ministry, so that we can make a difference for Christ in our community.

Please pray about participating in our workdays and mission works coming up this summer.

Remember to mark your calendar for May 12, at Woodridge Baptist Church in North Augusta.  The men of Woodridge, Immanuel, and Little Horse Creek are going to have bar b q ribs.  Let’s pack that place out.  I am praying for 300 men that night.  Men don’t forget your sons and grandsons.  Let’s “train them up in the way that they should go”.

Thank You, Grady County Baptists

I want to send out a Thank You, to the Brotherhood ministry of the Grady County Baptist Association down in Cairo, GA.  My former pastor, Gordon Cloud, invited me to speak at one of their meetings a few years ago.  When I saw the fellowship that was going on between the men of all of the different churches, I knew that what they were doing needed to be duplicated all across this country.  They inspired me to copy them here in Aiken County, SC.  I hope that our ministry continues to grow, and we can make an impact for the Lord in our community, state, country, and world.

On our blogroll, I keep links to things that we should be interested in.  I am adding Pastor Cloud’s blog, www.heavenlyheartburn.wordpress.com

I hope that you check it out, and the other sites, too.  I can’t wait for the fish fry.

Blessings
